CONCESSION RULES, TIPS, AND TIMESAVERS

All concession stand volunteers must wear a badge when working.

No one under 16 is allowed to work concession stand because of the expensive equipment and potential hazards.

Adults only in the press box.

Not responsible for injury or theft of personal items.

No checks or credit.

Please read all signs in the concession stand.

Be careful. Read all directions on all equipment before operating. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on equipment, etc. When in doubt, ask a Board Member.
Get here about 20-30 minutes early to start popcorn, hamburgers, corndogs, pizzas, & hotdogs.
Familiarize yourself where things are. Check storage room next door for additional supplies.
For their safety, children are not allowed in the concession stand.
Keep ice machine doors closed when not in use.
WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING FOOD.
DO NOT HANDLE UNCOOKED FOOD THEN HANDLE COOKED FOOD WITHOUT CHANGING GLOVES.
Do not handle food and money at the same time. Use ice scoops when getting ice. Do not use cups or hands to get ice.
Do not put cups of ice in the ice machine. The outside of the cups have been handled and cups do not need to be put in the clean ice.
Do not leave ice scoops in ice machine. The handle is dirty when people use it and it is unsanitary to leave in the clean ice.
Fill up ice reservoirs often on Pepsi machines. Do not use the ice in the reservoirs for drinks. This ice is used only to keep the lines cold. Use ice for drinks from ice machines only.
Use the smallest cups for team drinks.
If ice refills are asked for, use a new cup. Do not use a cup that someone has already used due to sanitary reasons.
Make hamburgers, corndogs, and hotdogs and put in bags before time. Hamburgers are cooked on the grill & kept in the warmer. Light a sterno and keep in the compartment in the back of the warmer. Corndogs are cooked in the toaster ovens & kept in the warmer. Hotdogs are cooked in the steamer. Pizzas are cooked & displayed in the pizza oven.
Go ahead, pop popcorn, and bag/box it up to save time. Keep in popcorn popper.
Give condiments out when food is purchased. Do not leave these out on table. Keep refrigerated.
Keep baseballs in concession stand for umpires. They should get only 2 baseballs per game.
UMPIRES MUST SIGN THE BOOK BEFORE GETTING PAID. HAVE A BOARD MEMBER PAY THE UMPIRES.
The umpires can have ONE food item & ONE drink free. Anything beyond that, they will have to pay.
ALL CONCESSION STAND WORKERS MUST SIGN NOTEBOOK WHEN WORKING.
If last group to work for the night, clean popcorn machine, Frusheez machine, utensils, coffee maker, pans, etc. Sweep and mop.
Place sticks in windows when locking up. Make sure doors are locked, including bathrooms.
Turn off all lights.

Makeup games

Will normally be scheduled for the Saturday following the week in which they were postponed.

Catcher’s masks must be worn by all players and coaches when warming up a pitcher. The catcher’s mask must have a throat protector regardless of what type they are.

Protective equipment must be worn by all catchers while squatting (7/8, 9/10, and 11/12).

Batting helmets must be worn at all times when batting or running the bases (practice and games). These batting helmets must have a face mask attached.

No warm-ups at the North and South entrances. Also the area between fields 6 and 7 should not be used to allow safe access to the batting cages. This does not apply to pitchers and catchers warming up in the bullpens.

No soft-toss into fences.
